About Platform
The regional platform MINUS VIRUS: Your online guide on access to HIV treatment in the EECA region.
This platform is an information hub that brings the latest news on HIV to one place, accumulated from the sites of community networks in the EECA region, as well as other specialized resources. Moreover, Minus Virus provides its own thematic material, based on collected data and advocacy activities on access to treatment (results of surveys and reviews by ECUO), as well as formal letters, appeals to governments, pharmaceutical companies and other organizations that can influence the decisions on improving access to HIV care continuum in the EECA region.
The online platform MINUS VIRUS is established by the Eastern European and Central Asian Union of people living with HIV as part of the regional project “Partnership for equitable access to HIV care continuum in EECA” with the financial support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GF) aiming to:
- Generate a knowledge base, a resource center on access to treatment in the EECA region.
- Create a common information space for PLWH community organizations across the EECA countries.
- Train the representatives of community organizations, ensure support and development of leaders in response to HIV/AIDS epidemics.
We believe that this resource combined with credible, relevant and useful information will contribute to increased efficiency of daily work of advocacy professionals, to the improved level of communication among the community organizations at the regional level, as well as to their united efforts to combat HIV/AIDS at the earliest.
