European Parliament calls for new rules to improve access to medicines

After several years of lobbying work and pressure from patient organisations, the European Parliament has now published a report on the EU’s options for improving access to medicines. This useful snapshot from the European Public Health Alliance describes the report. The report is non-binding though it sends a political signal to the European Commission to step up its work and in a way to EU member states too. It shows that the debate and awareness has moved forward, such a report was not imaginable two years ago.
